Everyone knows that Chelsea Knot can't keep a secret

Until now. Because the last secret she shared turned her into a social outcast—and nearly got someone killed.
Now Chelsea has taken a vow of silence—to learn to keep her mouth shut, and to stop hurting anyone else. And if she thinks keeping secrets is hard, not speaking up when she's ignored, ridiculed and even attacked is worse.
But there's strength in silence, and in the new friends who are, shockingly, coming her way—people she never noticed before; a boy she might even fall for. If only her new friends can forgive what she's done. If only she can forgive herself.

My Thoughts
Chelsea Knot is the type of girl who will do whatever she sees fit to ensure her place in the "IN CROWD", and the thing that has worked for her so far is talking...about anyone, and anything.
Until...
A drunken blab fest sets things into motion that not only drastically change her life as she knows it, but almost means the end of someone.

Authoress Kim Harrington does a brilliant job of spotlighting the flawed character that is Chelsea as she transitions from callous bully to silent victim and ultimately better person.
This book is proof that "if you would just shut up...you might just learn something."  Through the course of her vow of silence, Chelsea learns that she is worthy of true friendship, happiness, love, and most of all FORGIVENESS.
This book is recommended reading for anyone who has hurt or been hurt by words said by others.  Contrary to what people may think, words can not only hurt, but may very well prove deadly.  When we speak we must be mindful that once out there "words can not be unsaid."
SILENCE TRULY IS GOLDEN

  1. This is probably one of my fave YA read this year. I never thought it'll pack a punch like that. The moral is spot on, bullying, gossiping... wonderful story.
