Rating:  4 Stars

Unknowingly cast as the bachelorette for her town’s charity event, Taycee Emerson wants out. Especially when she discovers her old teenage crush, Luke Carney, is one of the bachelors and it's up to the viewers--not her--to decide which bachelors stay or go.

Coerced into participating, Taycee does what any self-preserving girl would do. She launches a subtle attack on Luke’s good name with the hope of getting him voted off the show. Unfortunately, Luke's an eye-for-an-eye kind of guy, and when he discovers what she's up to, it means revenge.

But when their pranks go south, will they screw up any chance they have at a future together, or will they be able to forgive and forget and prove that love really does conquer all?

My Thoughts
This is a really sweet read.  It is very easy to see where things will end, but the fun and laughs make getting to that end well worth  reader's time.
Taycee Emerson is a girl that you can't help liking.  A happy "single" forced to mingle for the good of her town, but to the detriment of her sanity.

The host of characters and idiosyncratic behaviors that Taycee has to contend with...or avoid in her role as "The Shelter Bachelorette" provide more than enough hilarity to keep readers sides hurting for pages.  Add to that the cat and mouse pranking going on between Taycee and her long lost love come home, Luke Carney, and you have just the trip through the tulips that one looks for light romantic chick lit.

Look out Sophie Kinsella!

This is a very well written story full of charm, wit, well meaning best friends, enemies with fries, nosey parkers, and happy endings.  The one thing that keeps this book just shy of perfect is the fact that the story is written in a way that makes the outcome very obvious. Though there  is no shortage of romance, the "aha moment" is MIA.
That tiny flaw aside, this book is a go to for a "feel good" read.
