LEAVE IT TO CHANCE. Eleanor “Elle” Chance, that is—the intrepid heroine of this edgy new series that transforms elements of urban fantasy, historical adventure, and paranormal romance into pure storytelling gold.
In a Golden Age where spark reactors power the airways, and creatures of Light and Shadow walk openly among us, a deadly game of Alchemists and Warlocks has begun.

When an unusual cargo drags airship-pilot Elle Chance into the affairs of the mysterious Mr. Marsh, she must confront her destiny and do everything in her power to stop the Alchemists from unleashing a magical apocalypse.  -Goodreads

My Thoughts
This is a wonderful story of light vs. dark, Alchemists vs. Warlocks, in a world where the science of Steampunk and the mysteries of magic come together to save the world...or destroy it.

Elle Chance is a fiery heroine who loves adventure and wants nothing more than to be her own boss, roaming the skies in her airship.Unbeknownst to her...one delivery will put her at the center of both a kidnapping plot involving her scientist father, and the fight for control of magic so powerful that wielding it could end the world.

This story takes off early and doesn't hit a lull until well after 85%, when Elle is kidnapped and it takes a while to find her.
Readers also should be aware that there are so many players in this drama; both on good an evil sides that there may be some confusion as to who is who.
Don't worry though, just keep reading and all will be sorted out in time.
The big draw of this story is the BIG finish!!!
This is a very fun read any lover of steampunk, vampires, fairy folk, magic, and wild adventure.
