Elizabeth DeVille doesn't belong at a party like this—one where the gowns cost more than her Camry and cigars run higher than her grad school utility bills. Dragged out of seclusion by her best friend Suri, Elizabeth is merely playing dress-up, rubbing elbows with a crowd that banished her troubled family years ago.
Hunter West is tired. Tired of parties, tired of pretending, and tired of trying to right a wrong that haunts him every day. Bourbon heir and professional poker player by day, by night Hunter is gambling with his life in a high-stakes game of crime and blackmail.
When Elizabeth stumbles into Hunter's den of vices, she's a light in the darkness, a flame in the void. And, just like everything he touches, Hunter mars her in a record time. To rectify the damage done, Elizabeth needs money she doesn't have, and she's come up with a foolproof way to get it.
Follow Elizabeth—code-named Scarlett—to the lush Nevada brothel where she'll auction her virginity and risk the only thing that's not for sale: her heart. The highest bidder is a familiar face, with wicked hands and the devil's mouth. And a secret so dark that it could cost her life.

My Thoughts
Selling Scarlett puts a new an different face on erotic romance.
This a book that proves that it is a good thing to include a great story with your sex.
Readers will find themselves taken with Elizabeth. She may be a virgin, but that in no way makes her naive about what she wants or how to get it.
The surprising thing and the the crux of the story lies in just how deep her loyalties go.
Elizabeth/Scarlett is the one constant in a story full of secrets, blackmail, old wounds, and vendettas.
The Boys
Cross
He loves Elizabeth. He is in big tr ouble and only she can save him.
The relationship between Cross and Elizabeth is what sets this book apart from most reads of this type.
The usual scenario for the plot being something along the lines of:
Good girl + Bad Boy + Great Sex = Good Girl Saving Bad Boy From Bad Past + Falling In Love
Because of Cross, this took a big detour from that path and charted it's own.
Let's see if you can follow me here.
Good Girl + Injured Friend = Good Girl + Bad Boy - Vcard + Great Sex + Day Saving + Falling In Love.
I will leave you to read the book and discover where Cross fits in that equasion.
Hunter
He is the one who has it all. At least on the surface. He is also the lonely heart looking for something real.
He has all of the hallmarks of a wonderful leading man.
Looks
Charm
Money
Scars (emotional and physical)
Heart
It is when these things meet with the quiet powerhouse that is Elizabeth that magic happens and the sparks start to fly.
Last Words
This is a very well written book. The one negative being that there were parts of the story that deserved more detail.

The bidding war for Scarlett.
The reason for the blackmail.
Hunter's past.
Cross's past.
This book is written as a standalone in a collection of related works. If this is what book 1 is like; this reviewer can't wait for the coming delights.
