Together they're doing their best to save the two boys, but will Stephen's feelings for Bonnie get in the way of their search for a killer? -Goodreads
The road to romance seems paved with mystery for young governess, Bonnie Hodges.
After the suspicious deaths of Viscount and Viscountess Darrow, Bonnie stands as their only safe haven amid the chaos of deserting servants and uncertain futures.
Enter Stephen Montgomery, as friend to the Darrow's and and guardian to their sons. Stephen feels that it is his duty to unravel the mystery surrounding the deaths, while insuring the safety of the household...
But is his heart safe with Bonnie?
This romantic morsel is sweet enough to melt the heart of any reader. Bonnie's fierce loyalty to her young charges, coupled with Stephen's need to protect them while honoring the memory of his late friends; is a wonderful introduction to the minds of these two.
Bonnie is a perfect counter for the serious Stephen, and manages to impress him with her quick with and sparkling humor.
She also serves as a of sorts, when it comes to handling the boys. It seems that while school is in session, he teaches her to listen to her heart.
This is a very short read. The perfect little vacation from the everyday.
