Champion barrel-racer Tegan Ash has nothing left to go home to in her native Australia and every reason to stay in the USA. But her visa is about to expire, and her prospective groom has called off their green-card wedding. Jamie MacCreadie doesn’t actually want to marry a woman he can't stand, but his best friend and fellow rodeo rider Chet has just let her down and, somehow, he finds himself offering to do the deed instead. There’s no chance it could turn into the real thing, because they have nothing in common… do they?  -Goodreads

My Thoughts

This is a very sweet story of two people perfect for each other, but never once giving each other the chance.
Desperation and the revelation of a long kept and life changing secret by her long-time friend and fiancée Chet, bring the two together to share a passionate friendship strong enough to join these two forever.
This is a very short, but well-written story.  All of the characters are very vibrant and easily and immediately relatable.
The problems and conflicts experienced by Chet and Tegan are heartbreaking, but are allowed to resolve themselves naturally, despite the short length of the read.

The rough and tumble exteriors of the cowboys give way to tender, understanding hearts and souls aching to be loved.
This is a great read for those wild hearts who like the white knights a little wild and their love a lot free.

All About Megan

Megan Crane is a New Jersey native who had great plans to star on Broadway, preferably in Evita, just like Patti LuPone. Sadly, her inability to wow audiences with her singing voice required a back up plan. Accordingly, she graduated from Vassar College and got her MA and PhD in literature from the University of York in England. She wrote her doctoral dissertation on AIDS literature, mostly so she could wallow in her obsession with the remarkable multi-media artist David Wojnarowicz and her idol, the bitter and hilarious David Feinberg. After many years in the rain and subject to the whim of seasons, she followed the sun to Los Angeles, where she lives with a dog, a cat, two crazy kittens, and an artist named Jeff. She is still plotting her Broadway debut.
