My Thoughts
This novella provides just the glimpse into swoon-worthy Daniel Sheridan's past that his fans have clamored for since meeting him in Something Strange and Deadly.  Here we meet the young and in love Daniel. It was sad to see that his love with the young and adventurous Cassidy Cochran is just as ill fated as the one that he has for Elenore.

The ghostly parts of this book and the coming together of the parts of what would later become the ghost busting team of "The Spirit Hunters" is an awesome story.
Knowing the history of Daniel's loss only serves to endear him to readers, and make us want to see his "happily ever after" come true.
