Fight for your dreams. Fight for your life. Fight for love.

Nerdy girl Autumn Blakewood is the prime example of a goody two-shoes. She studies every night, is never late for class, and always follows the rules. She has never felt the need to step out of her comfort zone. That is, until she meets Hunter.

Hunter Bane is a cocky, confident bad-boy, who's nothing but trouble. He’s a dangerous distraction to everyone around him. Sexy and strong, Hunter enjoys the swooning effect he has on women. Especially those who aren't used to attention, like Autumn.

Autumn finds it hard not to give into Hunter’s advances, even though it all seems like a game to him. Trying to understand him is impossible, because he shrouds himself in mystery.
What she doesn't know is that Hunter has more baggage than anyone should have to carry. When she discovers he's in an illegal frat club to save the one person that matters to him, Autumn realizes this could mean the end of her undeniable connection to him. Even their lives are at risk.
But it's too late to turn back now.  -Goodreads

 My Thoughts
This story is college based N.A. gold.  Autumn Blakewood  may be shy, a little naive, and a whole lot nerdy, but when beautiful bad boy Hunter Bane crosses her path, she soon proves that she is far from a shrinking violet.
It may be true that Hunter Bane is quite the bad boy; he does have good intentions.  Embroiled in a dangerous shadow game of drug sales, lies, and secrecy; Hunter must use both his brain and his formidable brawn to protect all he loves.
Still hot on the trail of the elusive Hunter, Autumn comes to realize that things and people are not who or what they appear.  Friends are foes...and Hunter?
Well...
This is an awesome New Adult read.  Author Clarissa Wilde leaves no stone unturned in her cast of likable and relatable characters.  She even manages to include a little GLBT goodness, in the form of Autumn's best gal pal, Evie.
Hunter quickly distinguishes himself as a leading man through the raw emotionality he shows.  Everything about who is supposed to be is such polar opposite to this, that it makes him a puzzle waiting to be solved.
When you add in the details of Hunter's back story, the danger and shade of what he is involved in now, and the heat of the relationship between he and Autumn.  What you have is a story that you have to read to believe.
Though this book may be read as a standalone, it is the first in the Fierce series.
