My Thoughts
After having had the privilege of reading 8 of Ms. Quince's books now. This reviewer can honestly say that EVERYTHING about the way that she tells a story is impeccable.
Whether it be the character depth, scenes, plot continuity, or reader relatability to the subject matter addressed. Each and every aspect of her writing is utter perfection. With Hero Of Her Heart being no exception.
The story of Charlotte Angelwood's betrothal to the abusive alcoholic, Edward Chadwick. As fulfillment of a deathbed promise to her father. Which by extension makes her subject to the further control and abuse of both of Edward's parents.
Seeing Charlotte fight the institutionalized cycle of abuse, manipulation, and codependency that she is faced with almost daily.
First, on her own.
Then with the help of servants.
Finally, and most effectively however, with the help of leading man Christopher Thorn.
Will truly attest to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
As well as the inborn instinct that we all have to survive.
When the compelling family drama brought to the fore by Charlotte is combined with the self-made, honesty, of her white knight love interest; the afore mentioned Christopher Thorn.
What you have is an explosive romance that one more devours than reads.
Though Christopher does face the usual romantic dilemma, which is in this case falling in love with one promised to another.
The one thing that makes him stand out from the crowd is his reaction to the abuse.
He teaches Charlotte to defend herself!!!!

AUTHOR INFORMATION:
Dayna Quince was only fourteen when she developed a serious addiction to romance novels. What began as an innocent desire to read became an all-out obsession with the romance genre.She gave book reports on romance novels, got in trouble for reading during lectures, and would rather spend her time reading than attending high school parties. After all, high school boys could not compete with the likes of Stephanie Laurens Devil Cynster.
After getting her first job, her addiction only got worse. She now had her own money to spend and a car to get to Barnes and Noble as frequently as she wanted. She managed to maintain a somewhat normal life, marrying her high school boyfriend who was aware he was competing with fictional men for her attention. Dayna soon began writing her own romance novels, inspired by her love for all things romance.
Dayna and her husband live in Southern California with their two children and three fur babies. Dayna is happiest at home where she can be with her family and write to her heart’s content.
